At Centralines, the safety of our communities is paramount. Centralines offers a specific safety programme designed to target school children and give them key messages about staying safe around electricity.
Power-Smart Schools Programme
A free school-based programme for children aged five to twelve years of age.
Our programme coordinators take students through a fun and informative, visual presentation covering the following key topics:
- Identifying electricity in the home, classroom and community
- Understanding how electricity is made
- Developing skills to keep ourselves, and our friends and family safe around electricity
- Identifying Centralines' electrical assets out in the community
- Have an opportunity to get an up close look at the safety gear and equipment Centralines use while working around electricity.
- Receive a take home participation certificate and educational material.
