Unison and Centralines Strengthen Partnership with New Five-Year Agreement
The long-standing partnership between electricity distribution companies Unison Networks Limited (Unison) and Centralines Limited (Centralines) was reaffirmed with the signing of a new five-year Management Services Agreement this week. The agreement continues a trusted relationship that has benefitted the Central Hawke’s Bay community for over 20 years.
Under this renewed agreement, Unison will continue to manage the electricity network operations for Centralines, which is owned by the Central Hawke’s Bay Consumers Power Trust. This partnership is central to delivering secure and resilient electricity services to the region’s residents, ensuring enhanced network performance and increased efficiency for Central Hawke’s Bay power consumers.
Unison’s deep understanding of the Hawke’s Bay region makes it a natural fit to continue managing Centralines’ network. This ongoing collaboration is vital in maintaining reliable services while also preparing for future demands. The renewal of the Management Services Agreement marks a significant moment for both companies, reinforcing the collective commitment to delivering high-quality service to the people of Central Hawke’s Bay.
Unison Group Chief Executive, Jaun Park said “We are proud to have worked alongside Centralines successfully for so many years, and the signing of this agreement reaffirms our dedication to serving the Central Hawke’s Bay community. Our values and vision are closely aligned as is our commitment to a secure and efficient network. This agreement allows us to continue supporting the region's growth and prosperity, ensuring reliable service for years to come.”
Centralines Chair, Fenton Wilson also expressed his enthusiasm about the agreement: “This partnership has served the Central Hawke’s Bay community well for many years. We are pleased to extend our relationship with Unison, knowing that together, we can continue to provide safe, reliable, and resilient network services to our residents. This agreement allows us to ensure local consumers continue to benefit from the expertise and experience that Unison brings to the table.”
This renewed agreement highlights the commitment of both companies to work collaboratively for the benefit of the local community, strengthening the electricity network and ensuring it meets the needs of current and future generations as New Zealand transitions to a more electric future.
